Pink and Blue are here for you this week as we discuss a CEO using his superpowers to evade the police while a new protecc boy wazus his way into the hearts of the fandom, the Ryusoulgers rip off movies to get a "powerup" of questionable worth, and how bathing in a random island onsen saved the lives of all of the Build crew.
We appear to have delayed talking about Heisei FOREVER to the perfect week, because the most recent episode of Zi-O was the start of the Den-O arc, so we get to talk about both versions of Another Den-O this week. The Core Four rage and squee at the return of Den-O, Zeronos, and most importantly DENEB! Meanwhile in Ryusoulger we get a weirdly dark episode that reeks of Highlander. Finally, we talk about what happens when Kamen Rider decides to take a page out of Toy Story. Wait, didn't Toy Story 4 just come out??
We recorded this Thursday night so WHOOPS ZI-O WASN'T SUBBED YET. Instead we fill time with Ryusoulger trying to find its footing in modern civilization, and Ichi maintains his nostalgia for Kamen Rider Build with the stageshow that fits bug-snugly into the canon. Might it turn out to be not terrible?
Ichi and Lane are here to give their mixed and cautious thoughts about the debut of Geiz Revive, how Rita is totally Rita Repulsa's daughter, and how the Cross-Z movie not only made up for Be The One but expanded on the motivations behind Kamen Rider's most compelling antagonist ever.
Gar's off on a side special adventure so it's up to Three Little Casters to bring you their thoughts on the denouement of Kamen Rider Quiz's confusing plot arc while Zi-O and Geiz manage to impress us a little bit with their combat this week. Next, we discuss the emotional climax of Lupinranger VS Patranger as we head towards the finale, and for our feature topic, we're finally tackling the Kamen Rider Build summer movie! Does it live up to the hype of how good Build's show was?!
The Core Four are here once more! We discuss the many nicknames of the two Wozes, his new form Futurering Shinobi, his stupid yet complicated objective, and how it just adds further layers of confusion to this already bullshit story. Meanwhile, the Lupins and Patos are approaching endgame as Freezo-Amigo obtains a cheat code, Gauche develops a fetish, Sakuya gets further than ever before, and Noel commits a noble sacrifice. Finally, for our first feature topic of 2019, it's How Gentoku Got His Groove Back. Again!
Ichi, Lane, and Emily are all here this week. Since Rider and Sentai didn't air last weekend, we gotta fill the time somehow, so for some god-awful reason we decide to watch the first two episodes of Go-Onger. Why did Ichi ragequit the series? Aside from that, we go back to our precious Build by finishing up the ROGUE miniseries, and wow is it a bloody good time!
Red Caster makes it here from his side quest just in time to join us for the finale of Build. But first, we throw in a quick mention of the Power Rangers anniversary episode, and Lupinranger VS Patranger occupies our time with a haphazardly thrown together clip show. Finally, we discuss the ending to what could be the greatest Kamen Rider series. Our opinions differ. Our predictions come true. We share who we loved, what we loved, and why as our "feature topic" becomes a retrospective discussion on the series as a whole and analysis of each of the major characters.
With ChouRaven here in place of Emily and Gar, we discuss the penultimate episode of Build, as the ever-dwindling cast of heroes dwindles yet further still, and we honor the memory of Himuro Gentoku by taking a look back at the hardest point in his life: part 2 of the ROGUE specials, featuring a lot of implied dick references? Also it's Umika's birthday and her dad's here and HOLY HELL THE MAGIC DIAL FIGHTER YOU GUYS, THE MAGIC DIAL FIGHTER.
Stage Caster Thespian joins us to talk about this weirdly musical episode of LuPat. This week's Build leaves a robot-shaped hole in our hearts in more ways than one. Our feature topic is a couple more episodes of Kyoryuger Brave. Why? Because fuck it.
