The trifecta of the House of Castranger convene after Yellow Caster was absent last week to review both episodes 7 and 8 of Amazons, and it's a good thing they did because the story arc for these two episodes fit together great.
Blue Caster returns, and he's brought North and Dream with him from the void! After a brief tangent about the Digimon Adventure Tri dub, today we talk about the first part of what could be considered Ghost's endgame. IS the defeat of Adel satisfying? After that we sort-of Double Episode special the two Gokaiger episodes of Zyuohger celebrating Super Sentai's 2000th episode. Join us as we relive the joy of the Pirate Sentai. Because we have three episodes, no feature topic this week.
The five core Casters (minus North) unite after attending ConBravo to play some catchup. We discuss a very infodumpy pair of Ghost episodes including the drop of a kind-of-fore-seen plot twist. Meanwhile in Zyuohger, we discuss the continuing adorableness of Misao as he acclimatizes to the team. Finally, because we have lots to catch up on after Ultraly, we squeeze in a review of the Ninninger Returns movie. Why do we hate ourselves? And why wasn't Saga here for this?
Yellow is busy, so the remaining four Casters play catchup once again after coming back from Anime North. We start off by sharing our con stories, then dig into two weeks of toku. In Ghostland, we talk about how Tutenkhamun got his groove back, then the Death and Return of Ghost For The Third Fucking Time. Over in Zyuland, we discuss the amazingly racist British Hunter MOTW, then the hunt for mascots that clearly isn't hinting to the creation of the sixth Zyuohger.
Six! Six episodes discussed! Hahaha *lightning* Cyan and Navy Casters join us again in place of North as we do some catchup in the wake of Castranger 100. The saga of Alan becoming a good guy comes to a head while Makoto obtains and debuts Deep Specter, and we share our thoughts. Over in Huland, we discuss the amusing G.I.F.T. given by the Deathgaliens to our heroes, and the advent of Biiiiiiiirdman! Finally, we begin our special episode catchup by reviewing the end of Drive Type Tokujo, which comes to a surprisingly satisfying conclusion.
Castranger 2016! We're back from holiday break (again) for a Double Episode Special! The five current core Casters reassemble after partying our brains out. After sharing our holiday stories, we get into some plot-pivotal discussion about Ghost and Ninninger which both hit some important episodes over the last few weeks. What did we think of Toucon Boost Damashii? Will Gengetsu pose a threat? How did the 99-day counter reset get handled? Did we enjoy the Shurikenger cameo? Come find out on this week's episode!
Yeah baby, Silver Medal is back and with a new voice on the team - Yellow Caster, AutoGar. After wrestling some hardware problems we begin Season 2 of Silver Medal with a Double Episode Special, featuring fake royalty, flying lighting pterodactyls, and an actual death maze. After that, we talk about the most timing-appropriate feature topic ever - What I Did On My Summer Vacation (from Silver Medal).
We return from ConBravo for some catchup. Plenty of news about the rest of Drive and Surprise Future, then we talk about all the revealed forms and weaponry of Kamen Rider Ghost, a new Ninninger form hinted at, and a few toy announcements. These two weeks of Drive feature Chaser doing plenty of awesome shit and the adventures of Banno the Tablet. Meanwhile in Ninningerland, ninja baseball happens, and then Yakky and Kinji try to do things. GOOD LUCK!
Sorry for the wait, ladies and gentlemen! Castranger returns once again, albeit with only Red, Blue, and Pink Casters, to talk about a metric button of news about upcoming toys, details about the Drive movie Surprise Future, Kamen Rider Yongo, more details about Kamen Rider Ghost, etc. In another Double Episode Special, we talk about the death and rebirth of Tomari Shinnosuke, how Gou got his groove back, and the amazing portrait of perfection that is Type Tridoron! Meanwhile in Ninninger town, we discuss how Kinji's assassination antics are getting on Fuuka's nerves, more evidence of Takaharu being a fucking idiot, and Kintaros actually coming up with an intelligent plan to stop them there nasty Ninningers. Then, Light Red Ninger duels the Onee-san youkai in a battle of sycophantry. Lastly, we briefly touch on episode 1 of Type Tokujo.
