Radio Sentai Castranger [45] CASTLE TERMINAL IS PEOPLE

Black Caster steps out and Silver Caster takes his space this week. We talk about the reveals of ToQ-Zet aka ToQ-Nanago, Kamen Rider Yongo, Drive Type Formula gets spy-shotted, Dead Heat Mach's debut and Fourze reference, Rinna gets creepier, and Professor Harley Hendrickson shows up to delight everyone but not do much. Meanwhile ToQ-Ichigo railguns a sword, the Castle Terminal comes to life, a train tries to run Zet over, and Akira knows about yubikiri. THEN we talk about the first episode of a Korean CGI animated tokusatsuesque series called Mini Force that takes Hello Kitty rejects and has them transform into Faiz-era Power Rangers. Also, Kiriko becomes Mach, and Helheim infects Africa.

This week on Castranger, we all shit our pants over the reveal of Ninninger's Starninger and the Chaser Axe from Kamen Rider Drive. We then talk about the kooky happenings at the Amagi Lovers' Castle in Drive, Rinna being past her prime, Kiriko wanting to be a Rider and apparently wanting Chase, Gou and Shinnosuke's blossoming partnership, the evil that is smiling Chase, and Drive Type Dead Heat's debut. Meanwhile, ToQger didn't air this week, so instead we watched and reviewed the first episode of Garo, a tokusatsu from 2006. Our feature topic this week is favorite Rider villains.

Tired of hearing about Super Sentai and Kamen Rider? More of a Power Rangers fan? So are we. Kinda. So Overkill gathered whoever was around and started another show about Power Rangers, right in time for the premiere of Dino Charge!

We talk about Roidmude 069 stalking an actress, confirmed for Proto-Drive, ToQ-1gou Black happens and explains some plot points, then we talk about NOT THE GAIM MOVIE but our favorite hissatsu attacks! Sorry! Gaim movie next week!

The full five-man crew shows up to get stronger! ...wait, no, I meant to WATCH Kamen Rider Stronger. The first three episodes, though some of us have already seen more of it. We go off on a shit-ton of Showa-buttering tangents, but we eventually give our thoughts on the show and if we would keep watching. Then we go into space but not really most of the time with the final movie in the Uchuu Keiji reboot trilogy, Space Sheriff Shaider NEXT GENERATION, aka Kamen Rider Birth / Date's Abs The Movie, featuring all your favorites: Tammy, Birdgirl, and Commissioner Gordon. Yup.

This week, on the first Castranger of 2015 and quite possibly one of our most polarizing episodes ever, North Caster returns! Kamen Rider Mach debuts; we discuss his design and Shijima Gou's... "interesting" character and methodology. Not to ignore the awesomery that is the Gunman Roidmude. Plus we learn some things about Slowdown / Density Shift. ToQger ends 2014 with a clip show and a concert. THEN. My god, then... Remember how we said apparently the second Guyver movie was going to be better? Did it end up being better? Kind of, but not really. Strap in as we follow David Hayter to Utah in Guyver: Dark Hero.

With Black and Pink Casters off canoodling somewhere, North Caster steps in to mitigate the damage. We talk about Tomari's magical cockblocking Christmas adventure, Chase's true form revealed, and the shadowy Mach tease. Meanwhile on the Plot Line- I mean Rainbow Line, just gratuitous death. We steer back onto Drive to talk about the Terebi-kun special that manages to bridge the gaps between Episode 10, Episode Zero, and the Drive-Gaim Movie Wars. Finally, we all finally with the final finale of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the Legendary Battle episode that all the hype over the last year has built up to. Does it payoff?
